This treatment Plant cater piped drinking water to the areas in towns north of Colombo, to serve a population of about 200,000.The treatment plant is a full treatment plant, consisting of Chlorine Contact Tank, Clear Water Reservoir, Backwash Recycling Tank, Flash mixing and Distribution Chamber, Pulsatube Clarifiers, Rapid Sand Filter, Clarified Sludge Balancing Tank, Sludge Thickner, Treated water pump house, Thickened Sludge Sump. Other office & laboratory Buildings and associated all Chambers are too included in to the Treatment Plant.
