The objective of the assignment was to assist the ADB and Colombo City, the pilot city, in the implementation of the project by providing technical guidance and direction in urban development, transport planning, engineering and transport and technical inputs relating to a social development framework for sustainable urban transport systems within Colombo. Objectives further involved identifying integrated transport solutions that provide efficient movement of people and services, minimize negative externalities and foster economic development through affordable, inclusive and accessible transport.
