This project consists of number of Road packages within the above mention provinces in Sri Lanka. Road traces follows partially build up areas and runs through developing town-shipments and populated areas. Due consideration were given in selecting these roads during design stage to earn maximum economic benefit to the country and to cater developing traffic in areas.
In these road packages road widening, widening of structures, road pavement improvement, surface treatments, side drain improvement and safety improvement were given due consideration.
Surface treatment of minimum thickness of 50mm asphalt paving considered in all road packages with base improvements. Road standards were up graded in most of the possible areas considering future developments. Following table provide more details of the project components.
