Project The Enhance Water Security and Climate Resiliency in Maldives (Maldives GCC) Program is intended to demonstrate the process and outcomes needed to allow island communities to maximize their opportunity to overcome impacts from global climate change.
The primary purpose of the construction project implemented by UNOPS is to deliver the design, construction, and operational management of a full water treatment and distribution system and targeted upgrades to the wastewater collection system in Hinnavaru. These activities will provide adequate technical capacity for the delivery of potable water to the current population of approximately 5,300 residents.
