- Galle City: To upgrade the city of Galle by regenerating and revitalizing key zones within the urban centre and the coastal areas to improve liveability, maintain, protect and leverage on its cultural and built heritage, attract increased tourism, and enhance pedestrian connectivity, walkability and permeability. This could be achieved through the provision of high-quality and well-connected pedestrian networks, public spaces, improved streetscape, facade refurbishment and restoration of heritage buildings.
- Weligama: To appropriately manage increased tourism through planned urban development and improved access to public urban spaces and coastal areas.
- Hikkaduwa: To further enhance tourism potential by creating safe pedestrian networks and public access to its beaches whilst minimizing adverse impacts to the coastal environment.
